Welcome to the 2019 High AIMS Summer Institute! 

High AIMS is a consortium of 30 public school districts in southwest Ohio. Fairfield City Schools will serve as this year’s host to 2,000+ educators for our 6th annual Summer Institute. We will offer two nationally acclaimed keynote speakers and 250 breakout sessions as teachers and administrators immerse themselves in dynamic and inspiring professional learning.

When trying to solve a problem of creating whiteboard maps for a reasonable cost for the Social Studies Department, Rachel stumbled across the Makerspace at the Library and found that it was amazing. Since then, she has created projects on the laser engraver, UV printer, vinyl cutter and printer, and more! Although still a novice, the Rachel loves to craft, create, and challenge herself with new projects.
Rachel Thorman graduated in 2014 with a double major in Social Studies Education and Psychology and is currently working on her Masters in Educational Psychology at Miami University. She is currently working at Taylor High School teaching American History and Psychology.
