Welcome to the 2019 High AIMS Summer Institute! 

High AIMS is a consortium of 30 public school districts in southwest Ohio. Fairfield City Schools will serve as this year’s host to 2,000+ educators for our 6th annual Summer Institute. We will offer two nationally acclaimed keynote speakers and 250 breakout sessions as teachers and administrators immerse themselves in dynamic and inspiring professional learning.

Matt Gaal, a native of Columbus, Ohio, is currently the Assistant Band Director at Anderson High School in Cincinnati, OH. His teaching duties include concert band, concert percussion, marching band, jazz band, elementary band, and music history. Recently he was appointed Brass Caption Head of the Forest Hills Marching Band - a joint effort between Turpin High School and Anderson High School within the Forest Hills School District. Mr. Gaal graduated with his Bachelor of Music Education degree from The Ohio State University in 2015. As an educator he has taught in many settings with different age groups, as an elementary summer music program coordinator, volunteer music teacher in Jamaica, and private lesson instructor. Mr. Gaal has performed in many world class organizations such as the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps (2008, 2009), Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps (2011), and The Ohio State University Marching Band (2010-2014).
