I have served 19 years as a classroom mathematics teacher, in both Ohio and Kentucky. I have taught in the Most Challenging Schools in both Ohio (Walnut Hills) and Kentucky (Highlands), as ranked by The Washington Post. I have also served as an adjunct professor of Calculus at Marion Technical College. I currently teach Math 3 and AP Calculus BC at Anderson High School. During the past ten years, I have taken a special interest in improving ACT scores. In recent years, my students have averaged a 3.7 point increase on their math ACT score from September to June. I am also a strong proponent of technology in the classroom through the use of Texas Instrument graphing calculators and MathMachine robots. My passion in the classroom revolves around problem solving strategies and improving standardized test taking skills.
