Welcome to the 2019 High AIMS Summer Institute! 

High AIMS is a consortium of 30 public school districts in southwest Ohio. Fairfield City Schools will serve as this year’s host to 2,000+ educators for our 6th annual Summer Institute. We will offer two nationally acclaimed keynote speakers and 250 breakout sessions as teachers and administrators immerse themselves in dynamic and inspiring professional learning.

Gina has served in Ohio public schools for 21 years. She was a classroom teacher in the upper elementary grades for 17 years. In addition, she has served as an assistant principal, and most recently, as the Assistant Director of Instruction for grades K-8 in Lakota Schools as well as an adjunct professor in the Childhood Education and Literacy Department at Xavier University.

Gina is passionate about cultivating classroom environments that empower students to read, write, and discuss for authentic purposes. She believes that adults must not just tell students what they need to know, but rather, provide experiences that teach students how to acquire information and knowledge and be critical consumers of what is in print and online.
