Many schools are recognizing the positive impact of regular instruction and practice of mindfulness strategies with students. These practices can contribute to a positive and peaceful classroom climate and can support students in developing emotional self management and positive social skills as well as improved academic outcomes. A bonus benefit is that teachers often experience less stress and more enjoyment when they regularly engage in mindfulness practice! This interactive session will provide participants an overview of the benefits of mindfulness practice in the classroom as well as firsthand experience with several multi-sensory mindfulness strategies.
