Welcome to the 2019 High AIMS Summer Institute! 

High AIMS is a consortium of 30 public school districts in southwest Ohio. Fairfield City Schools will serve as this year’s host to 2,000+ educators for our 6th annual Summer Institute. We will offer two nationally acclaimed keynote speakers and 250 breakout sessions as teachers and administrators immerse themselves in dynamic and inspiring professional learning.

This session is geared towards middle and high school ELA teachers who are ready to rethink the whole class novel and learn about ways they can personalize learning through choice in reading. We will focus on ways we have successfully incorporated book clubs and independent reading in our classrooms. Participants will have opportunities to discuss their ideas with others and will leave with both philosophical and practical strategies to support choice in their classrooms.
