Personalized learning and standards-based grading create learning experiences and expectations that far exceed any educator or student’s wildest dreams. But how is it done? Where do you start? What obstacles appear? In this session, you will see how one teacher implemented personalized learning and standards-based grading in her 9th grade Biology course. You will see what inspired her, what guided her, what frustrated her, and what showed her that she can never go back to the “traditional” approach. Participants will have an opportunity to reflect on their current practices and goals.
