Welcome to the 2019 High AIMS Summer Institute! 

High AIMS is a consortium of 30 public school districts in southwest Ohio. Fairfield City Schools will serve as this year’s host to 2,000+ educators for our 6th annual Summer Institute. We will offer two nationally acclaimed keynote speakers and 250 breakout sessions as teachers and administrators immerse themselves in dynamic and inspiring professional learning.

AI Goes to School

STEAM, Design Thinking, Coding, and now AI; this new educational trend is bound to excite your innovative passions. This session will knock your socks off and prepare you to introduce AI into your classroom. Educators will explore the why, what, and how of artificial intelligence components and their current/future applications. Describe how student exploration of artificial intelligence concepts and applications support the development of design thinking, STEAM skills, digital fluency in the classroom, and critical use of technology. Identify tools and approaches for using artificial intelligence to support in your Future Ready classroom. Reflect on ways to leverage artificial intelligence applications to nurture students’ interests and talents in computer science. Attendees will need a device and be prepared for exploration of AI tools. They will have time to discuss and collaborate together on ways they can prepare their students for future AI professions.
