Are you looking for ways to engage young mathematicians and get them thinking about their math brains? Number talks are a great strategy to boost students' engagement and use inquiry learning to get students thinking about their thinking in math. Join us as we explore different types of number talks aimed at Kindergarten through Second grade. In this session, participants will: learn about different types of number talks, learn about resources that have number talk ideas, participate in number talks, see number talks in action in K-2nd grade classrooms, and have the opportunity to lead a small group in number talks.
