Student voice is the hinge pin to reaching every teacher’s classroom expectations and developing student agency. Learn how to lift every student’s voice using three best practices which engage students in finding their own voice through content, culture, social emotional learning, and metacognition. Strategies perfect for blended learning and-lab based classrooms.
After refining a working definition of voice and the essential subcategories, participants will facilitate three different activities illustrating ways of eliciting voice to create a deeper understanding of the facets of student voice.,Participants will leave with handouts, tools they create themselves in the session, and experiences that will enable them to immediately implement the three strategies in their own schools.
