If you have English Learner (EL) students in your classes, do you ever feel uncertain about how to engage and include them in daily learning objectives? Find out how to include Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol (SIOP) strategies in your instruction. Developed in 1999, SIOP helps to communicate content and language objectives to students of all language levels. Teaching, learning and assessment are integrated, and can be used to drive future instruction. This interactive session will explain the components of SIOP, offer an activity, and provide strategies that can be easily applied in the classroom.
