Welcome to the 2019 High AIMS Summer Institute! 

High AIMS is a consortium of 30 public school districts in southwest Ohio. Fairfield City Schools will serve as this year’s host to 2,000+ educators for our 6th annual Summer Institute. We will offer two nationally acclaimed keynote speakers and 250 breakout sessions as teachers and administrators immerse themselves in dynamic and inspiring professional learning.

Having a varied and growing vocabulary gives students an advantage in academics and in life. How can we help kids become curious about words and want to learn more? What are everyday ways to build word learning into instruction? In this session, we'll explore a collection of fun, practical strategies designed to give our students the vocabulary advantage they deserve.

We'll collaborate through frequent opportunities to turn and talk, through written "silent conversations", and through participation in word games and word play.
