As the world of education shifts towards more student-centered models of instruction, there has never been a more exciting time to be in the educational field. However, it can also feel overwhelming to shift instructional practices towards methods never experienced. This session will briefly address the 'what' and 'why' of personalized learning, then walk educators through a simple exercise to develop the first small steps towards towards more personalized instruction that enhances student ownership and engagement in their learning. The session will include whole group, small group, and independent time to reflect on current classroom practices and create action steps to personalize one of those practices in the first 30 days of school.
