The session will focus on an innovative way of measuring student engagement, the Wellington Engagement Index, and what we have learned from using the tool. Highly engaged students are students who learn best, but keeping students consistently engaged can be difficult. It is hard to improve engagement without being able to measure it. To solve this problem, The Wellington School has developed an innovative methodology: The Wellington Engagement Index. This Index defines engagement as the phenomenon of a student finding their work deeply challenging, and loving the experience. This means that students not only do their best work, but are always hungry for more.

Sponsored by the Wellington School.
