Welcome to the 2019 High AIMS Summer Institute! 

High AIMS is a consortium of 30 public school districts in southwest Ohio. Fairfield City Schools will serve as this year’s host to 2,000+ educators for our 6th annual Summer Institute. We will offer two nationally acclaimed keynote speakers and 250 breakout sessions as teachers and administrators immerse themselves in dynamic and inspiring professional learning.

Passion projects or independent study opportunities give students voice and choice in their learning. How can instructors find the time to fit these strategies into their classrooms? See how you can set up your own passion project assignment using Google Classroom to guide students through steps that they "unlock" as they work at their own pace. Topics include: introduction, samples, planning, 'help desk', research skills, digital citizenship, searching for information, organizing research, and final project ideas. Students can get asynchronous help using digital feedback tools and individualization with all work being done independently by students from home.
