Welcome to the 2019 High AIMS Summer Institute! 

High AIMS is a consortium of 30 public school districts in southwest Ohio. Fairfield City Schools will serve as this year’s host to 2,000+ educators for our 6th annual Summer Institute. We will offer two nationally acclaimed keynote speakers and 250 breakout sessions as teachers and administrators immerse themselves in dynamic and inspiring professional learning.

Popular in the math education community, Low Floor High Ceiling (LFHC) Tasks are those that all students can access but that can be extended to high levels.
They can help keep students of all levels engaged and challenged with congnitively rich experiences. The presentation will include characteristics of LFHC science tasks, examples of such tasks, and tools for making existing tasks LFHC. Participants will engage in a group LFHC task and brainstorm tasks for their grade/subject.
